Whether you're a seasoned YouTuber or just starting out, there are probably some tricks and techniques you don't know about yet. So if you want to learn a few new things, read on! In this post, we'll share our top 10 tips and hacks to help you take your YouTube channel to the next level.

#1- Use your keyboard to navigate.
Here are some keyboard shortcuts you can try out on YouTube's page.
- Spacebar: Play or pause
- M: Mute
- Left and right arrow: Jump forward or back 5 seconds
- J: Jump backward 10 seconds
- L: Jump forward 10 seconds
- : Skip to the next frame when a video is paused
- >: Speed up
- <: Speed down
- 1-9: Jump to the percentage of the video mark.
- 0: Go to the beginning of the video
- /: Search box
- F: Fullscreen
#2 - Download the thumbnail of the video
You may want to share your YouTube video on a blog post or in your IG story. Instead of taking a low-quality screenshot, try this hack.
- Copy the ID: Just the 11 characters that follow: youtube.com/watch?v=.
- Paste the ID here: img.youtube.com/vi/[VideoID]/maxresdefault.jpg
- Copy and paste the full link into your browser and save the image
#3- See the transcript of a video.
YouTube auto creates transcripts for every video. This is used for accessibility and to get easy and accurate quotes from video content. Here is how to access the transcript.
- Click the three dots next to Save
- Select Open transcript
It is important to note that creators can opt to hide transcripts. Many do not edit the auto-created transcript, so there may be grammatical and spelling errors.
#4- Create your URL.
Your YouTube video is automatically given a long and confusing URL. You can actually make a more notable URL yourself.
- Go to settings.
- Click View advanced settings
- Under this, select the link beside You're eligible for a custom URL
- You will find a list with the Custom URLs you've been approved for. You can't change what is in the grey box, but you can add letters and numbers and make it unique.
- Agree to the Custom URL Terms of use and click Change URL.
Please note that you must meet particular requirements to do this. You need a channel icon and art, at least 100 subscribers, and your channel has to be more than 30 days old.
#5- Download a video to watch offline

- Select the download button (next to the share button)

- Click share.
- Select the start box.
- Change the timing to where you want the video to start.
- Copy the link.

End screens show up for the last 5-20 seconds of your video and are usually used as a call to action of some sort. You can use it to encourage people to subscribe or even to watch another video or playlist.
Here's how you make one:
- Log into your YouTube Studio.
- Open the Videos page and click a video.
- Select Editor from the left menu.
- Choose Add an end screen.
#8- Download Music Without Royalties
Audio effects and music are great ways to keep viewers engaged in your content. With YouTube audio library, you can access high-quality and royalty-free sounds and music. To access them, follow these steps.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left menu, select the audio library.
- Choose free music/sound effects from the upper tabs.
- You can preview tracks by clicking the play button
- Click on the arrow to download the track you want.
#9- Blur Objects and Faces In Video Content
If there is something you recorded you don't want in your final uploaded video, we got you. Follow these steps to use a blurring effect.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Choose videos.
- Find a video you'd like to edit.
- Click Editor.
- Select add blur.
- Next to custom blurring, click edit.
- Hover your mouse over the video and click pause when ready.
- Click and drag the box to adjust the blur.
- Choose done.
- Click save.
To blur faces, follow these next steps;
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Choose videos.
- Find a video you'd like to edit.
- Click Editor.
- Click get started.
- Click add blur.
- Next to blur faces, click edit.
- After processing is finished, click the thumbnails of the faces you'd like to blur.
- Click save.
- Choose save again.
#10- Pin Comments
If you have an amazing comment that you want other viewers to see, you can actually pin it to the top of your comment section!
- Go to community.
- Choose the comment you want to pin or write your own comment.
- Select more & click on pin.
