IG launched Quiet Mode, a new feature that will help you focus when you need it the most by silencing notifications from Instagram for a period of time set by you. 💤 Quiet Mode will be available to everyone in the US, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand today, and they’re hope to bring it to more countries soon.

  • Personal and business accounts have commercial music limitations, creator accounts do not. 
  • You will have access to the full Reel audio library of trending music and sounds bites when you switch to a Creator Account

How to Switch From a Personal Account to a Creator Account:

To switch to an Instagram Creator profile from a Personal profile, go to your Instagram profile page and tap “≡” in the top right corner, then tap “Settings”, and select “Account”:

Scroll to the bottom and tap “Switch to professional account”:

Next swipe through Instagram’s account set up prompts and tap “Continue”:

Select the category that best describes your niche and swipe whether you want it shown on your profile or not:

Select “Creator” and tap “Next”:

Lastly, a run down of all current Creator Tools will pop up. You don’t need to review all of that asap, you can come back to Creator Tools whenever it is most convenient for you to learn the ins and outs. 

Congrats, you’re officially a Creator! 

How to Switch From a Business Account to a Creator Account:

To switch to an Instagram Creator profile from a Business Account, go to your Instagram profile page and tap “≡” in the top right corner, then tap “Settings”, and select “Account”:

Next, tap “Switch account type” and select “Switch to creator account”:

Then you need to set up your account by selecting the category that best describes your niche and swipe whether you want it shown on your profile or not:

You can choose to connect your Facebook page if you want. Tap “Skip” if you’re not feeling at the moment.

Then you’ll review your contact information.

Lastly, a run down of all current Creator Tools will pop up. You don’t need to review all of that asap, you can come back to Creator Tools whenever it is most convenient for you to learn the ins and outs. 

Congrats, you’re officially a Creator!
